The locksmiths behindthe yellow badge

Auto Locksmith Near Me is an independent mobile auto locksmith based in Windsor. We started with one van and a key cutting machine in 2011 and now run a round-the-clock roadside service for drivers, fleets and garages across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Surrey and West London.

Why people call us — in their words

Almost nobody searches for a locksmith on a good day. These are the exact situations drivers describe when they ring us, and what we do about each one.

“I've lost my only car key”

All keys lost is our most common emergency. We read the key data from the vehicle, cut and program a brand new key on site, then delete the lost key from the immobiliser so it can never start the car again.

All keys lost →

“I've locked my keys in the car”

Locked keys in the car — including keys shut in the boot with the engine running — are opened non-destructively with picks, decoders and air wedges. No broken glass, no damaged door skin, no drilling.

Car lockout →

“I need a replacement car key today”

Replacement car keys cut and coded at your vehicle for cars and vans, from basic transponder blades to keyless proximity smart keys. Send the registration and we confirm the key type and price before travelling.

Car key replacement →

“My key fob has stopped working”

Remote not locking the car, key not detected, or an intermittent fob — we test the fob, battery, aerial and receiver before replacing anything, and reprogram or supply a new fob only if it's genuinely needed.

Key fob and remote faults →

“I only have one key left”

A spare car key cut and programmed while you still have a working key is far cheaper than an all-keys-lost job later. It's the single best-value call most drivers can make.

Spare car keys →

“My key snapped in the door or ignition”

Broken key extraction, plus a fresh key cut to code so you're not left waiting. If the ignition barrel or lock itself is worn, we repair or replace it at the roadside.

Broken key extraction →

“The car won't start even with the key”

Immobiliser faults, transponder coding errors and ignition problems are diagnosed with dealer-level equipment — so you know whether it's the key, the barrel or the vehicle before spending money.

Auto locksmith vs. locksmith vs. main dealer

A general locksmith works on house and business doors. We are a vehicle-only auto locksmith: cars, vans and light commercials. That means key cutting machines, transponder and proximity programming kit and dealer-level diagnostics live in the van, so a replacement car key is cut, coded and tested where you are parked — usually the same day, and often within the hour.

Compared with a main dealer, you skip the recovery truck, the booking wait and the storage charge. Compared with a key-copying kiosk, you get keys that are actually programmed to the immobiliser — a cut-only key opens the door but will never start the engine.

Why drivers trust us in an emergency

Non-destructive first, always

We open with picks, decoders and long reach tools. Drilling is a last resort and never happens without telling you first.

Fixed price on the phone

You get the number before we set off. No arrival surcharge, no surprise night rate you weren't told about.

Proof of ownership required

We check the V5C, insurance or matching ID before opening any vehicle. It slows us by two minutes and protects you completely.

Real 24/7 cover

Two vans on shift at all times. The phone is answered by a locksmith, not an overflow call centre reading a script.
