- Can you make a key if I've lost the only one?
- Yes. An all-keys-lost job creates a new key from the vehicle itself, then deletes the lost key so it can't start the car.
- How much does a replacement car key cost?
- It depends on the make, model, year and key type. Send the registration and we'll give you a firm price before we travel — we don't quote blind.
- Can you unlock my car without damaging it?
- Non-destructive entry is our default. If damage were ever unavoidable we'd tell you first and get your agreement.
- What information do you need before coming out?
- Registration, make, model, year, your postcode, whether you have any working keys, and what happened.
- Can you replace smart / keyless keys?
- For most mainstream makes, yes — but coverage varies by model and year, so we always check by registration first.
- Can you retrieve keys locked in the boot?
- Yes. Depending on the vehicle we open the boot directly or gain access through the cabin.
- My car says 'key not detected' — can you help?
- Usually. It can be the fob battery, the key electronics, or the vehicle's receiver. We diagnose at the vehicle rather than guessing on the phone.
- Can you cut and program a key at my location?
- Yes — cutting and programming both happen in the van at your vehicle.
- What vehicles do you cover?
- Most mainstream cars and vans. Check the vehicles page, or send the registration.
- Do I need proof of ownership?
- Yes, always. Photo ID plus V5C, insurance or purchase paperwork. It protects you as much as us.
- Do you cover my postcode?
- We cover Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Heathrow Corridor, West London, Surrey, Wiltshire, Hampshire. If you're on the edge of that, call and ask.
- How long does car key programming take?
- Many vehicles take minutes once we're on site. Some security systems enforce a waiting period — we'll tell you upfront.
- Are you available at night?
- Yes, 24 hours a day, all year.
- How do I pay?
- Card or bank transfer on completion. Price is agreed before work starts.
