How DS keys work
DS 3, DS 4 and DS 7 use PSA remote and proximity keys, with the later cars leaning heavily on keyless entry and start.
Early DS 3 cars are effectively Citroën underneath, which usually makes them a simpler job than the later DS-badged models.

How long a DS all keys lost takes
The longest of the four. With nothing to copy, the key has to be produced from the DS itself and paired to the immobiliser, so allow considerably more time on site than a spare-key visit.
What decides the price
All keys lost costs more than any other key job on the same DS — not because of the key, but because of the decoding and programming work needed when no working key exists. It is still normally well below a dealer plus recovery.

- My DS is on a driveway with no keys at all — do I need it towed?
- Almost never. The whole point of the mobile service is that the key is created at the vehicle. Recovery is only relevant in the rare case where the key system genuinely has to go to a dealer, and we tell you that before you pay anything.
- What proof do I need for an all-keys-lost DS job?
- Photo ID in your name plus V5C, insurance, hire agreement or purchase paperwork tying you to the vehicle. This is the job where we are strictest, because creating a key with no key present is exactly what a thief would want.
- Can the lost DS keys still start my car afterwards?
- Not if we delete them, which we recommend on every lost-key job. Once removed from the vehicle they are inert plastic even if someone finds them with your address.
